Why Taiwan Makes Whisky This Fast
Taiwan's subtropical heat and humidity push spirit in and out of the barrel dramatically faster than Scotland's cool, steady climate. A few years in a Taiwanese warehouse can develop the colour and depth a Scotch would need well over a decade for — the tradeoff is a much higher "angel's share," the whisky lost to evaporation each year.
