Why Bacardi Moved to Puerto Rico

Bacardi's founding distillery was in Santiago de Cuba, but production shifted to Puerto Rico after the company's Cuban assets were nationalized following the 1959 revolution — Puerto Rico remains the primary production base for the brand today.
