Glen Grant was founded in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant in Rothes, Speyside. James "The Major" Grant introduced the tall, slender stills and purifiers still used today, giving Glen Grant its signature clean, fruity character. The 15 Year Old Batch Strength takes that base further — extended maturation in first-fill ex-Bourbon casks alone, bottled at a bolder strength without chill filtration, for a more concentrated expression of the house style.
