Production
Glen Grant was founded in 1840 by brothers James and John Grant in Rothes, Speyside. James "The Major" Grant later introduced the tall, slender stills and water-cooling purifiers still used today — Glen Grant is the only Scotch distillery to use purifiers on both distillations, giving its whisky a signature clean, fruity character. The 12 Year Old takes that base further with extended maturation across both ex-Bourbon and Oloroso Sherry casks.
