Malacca has a strange history. Released in the 1990s, discontinued, then revived by popular demand from bartenders who had been hoarding the last bottles. It is based on an 1839 Charles Tanqueray recipe and sits closer to the old Old Tom style than to modern London Dry — softer, sweeter, more citrus-forward, less juniper-dominant.
