Stella Artois began in Leuven as a seasonal Christmas brew — stella being Latin for star, which is why the star has been on the label ever since. It is made with the original Stella Artois yeast and Saaz hops, the same variety used in the classic Czech pilsners.
Full-flavoured with a clean, crisp taste and the firm hop bitterness that separates a proper pilsner from a generic lager.
