Eighteen years in American and European oak casks, both seasoned with sherry in Jerez. At this age the sherry influence stops being a flavour note and becomes the structure of the whisky — dried fruit and ginger on the nose, vanilla and nutmeg through the middle, a finish that goes on considerably longer than the 15.
