Description
Grape Spirit and Vine Flowers — Neither of Which Belong in Gin
G'Vine breaks two conventions at once. It is distilled from a grape spirit base rather than grain, and it uses vine flowers as a botanical — the tiny green blossoms that appear on grapevines for only a few days each June before becoming grapes.
They have to be picked by hand in that window, macerated immediately, and distilled separately before being blended in. It is an absurd amount of work for one botanical, and it is what gives Floraison its floral, rounded character.
Product Highlights
- French gin from the Cognac region
- Grape spirit base, not grain — smoother and rounder
- Made with hand-picked vine flowers, available only days each year
- 40% ABV, 700ml bottle
- Floral and elegant rather than juniper-heavy
Tasting Notes
- Nose: Vine blossom, white flowers, soft juniper
- Palate: Rounded and silky — floral, gentle citrus, mild spice
- Finish: Long and elegant, faintly grapey
How to Serve
A G&T with green grapes and a light tonic, or a martini where the floral character can show. The grape base makes it noticeably softer than a London Dry, which suits people who find juniper aggressive.

- Wine drinkers exploring gin — the grape base is the bridge
- Drinkers who find London Dry too sharp
