Glenmorangie distils in the tallest copper stills in Scotland — roughly the height of a giraffe, which the distillery leans into. Height matters: only the lightest vapours reach the top, which is why Glenmorangie is delicate and floral where shorter stills produce heavier spirit.
Twelve years in bourbon casks gives citrus, vanilla and honey without any sherry weight. It is the most approachable Highland malt in the catalogue.

How to Serve
Neat, in the included glass — the tulip shape concentrates the floral aromatics, which is the point of it. A few drops of water opens the citrus further. This one is delicate enough that ice genuinely costs you something.

Same distillery, same age, entirely different character. The Original spends all twelve years in bourbon casks — light, citrus, floral, 40%. Lasanta finishes in Oloroso and Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and is bottled at 43% — richer, spicier, chocolate and raisin. Start with The Original.
