Description
Twelve months in white oak — double the Reposado, and at that length the barrel becomes part of the structure rather than a finish. The agave is still there, but it arrives after the vanilla and butterscotch rather than in front of them.
The step up in price from the Reposado is steeper than the step in ageing, so this is the bottle to buy when you intend to drink it slowly.
Tasting Notes
- Colour: Bright, with a reddish-gold hue
- Nose: Roasted agave and wood, dried fruit, butterscotch
- Palate: Medium to full bodied, velvety — caramel, vanilla, dried fruit, a note of chocolate
- Finish: Long and balanced
How to Serve
Neat, in a copita or a whisky glass. Mixing it works but wastes the twelve months you paid for — use the Blanco or Reposado for cocktails and keep this one for sipping.

Questions
Is it worth the step up from the Reposado?
If you sip tequila neat, yes — it is a different drinking experience. If most of your tequila goes into cocktails, the Reposado is better value and you will not taste the difference through lime and triple sec.
Does it taste like whisky?
It is closer than most tequila gets — the vanilla and butterscotch come from the same place. But roasted agave still leads, and it stays distinctly tequila.
