Dewar's does something most blenders do not: after the whiskies are blended, the blend goes back into oak for a further period to marry. That second ageing is why White Label is unusually smooth for its price, and it is the process Dewar's has built its reputation on.
Dewar's whiskies have won more than 400 awards and medals across 20 countries. The label is famously pale yellow rather than white, which nobody has ever explained satisfactorily.
