Description
Crianza is the first rung of Rioja's ageing classification: minimum twelve months in oak before release. It is where the wine stops being purely fruit and starts picking up the vanilla and spice most people think of as the Rioja character.
Beronia ages in a mix of French and American oak. American oak gives the sweeter vanilla note; French is tighter and more spice-driven.
