Description
Black sits between Bacardi's light rums and the heavy dark rum category. It gets its colour and its smokier edge from a heavier char on the barrels used for one of its aguardiente components — not from added colouring, which is how a lot of dark rum gets there.
The result is a medium-bodied rum with more intensity than Gold, but without the molasses weight of a Jamaican or Demerara style.

- Palate: Fuller than Gold — molasses, char, dried fruit

How to Serve
Made for drinks that would drown a lighter rum. Ginger beer is the obvious partner; bitters-forward drinks work too. The Tormenta Negra — Black with ginger beer and lime — is the house serve.

Less than most dark rums. The depth comes from barrel char rather than added sugar, so it reads drier than the colour suggests.
