It Started as a Private Supply
Rande Gerber and George Clooney wanted a tequila they could drink at home in Mexico without wincing, commissioned batches for themselves and their friends, and only turned it into a business when the distillery told them to stop ordering personal quantities. The name means "house of friends".
The Blanco is unaged — bottled straight after distillation, so there is no oak between you and the agave. It is the clearest read on what the distillery is doing with its Blue Weber.

Is it worth the price for mixing?
For a standard margarita, an inexpensive 100% agave blanco does the job. Casamigos earns its price when the drink is simple enough that the tequila is exposed — a two-ingredient paloma, or neat over ice.
Blanco or Reposado for cocktails?
Blanco for anything citrus-led. Reposado if you want the drink rounder and slightly oaky.
