Most gin is made by steeping botanicals directly in the spirit and distilling the lot. Bombay Sapphire uses vapour infusion instead: the spirit is heated, and the vapour passes through a basket of botanicals rather than boiling with them.
The difference is real. Boiling extracts heavier, more bitter compounds; vapour infusion picks up the lighter aromatics. It is why Bombay Sapphire is noticeably softer and more floral than a traditional London Dry.

How to Serve
Gin and tonic with a lime wedge is the default and it works. The floral character also makes it forgiving with flavoured tonics, where a juniper-heavy gin would clash — and it makes a lighter, more approachable martini than Tanqueray does.
